John Mongold
President
In 1999, John left the human resources field, joining Ken for a career in salon services as demand for top-tier salon professionals was rapidly growing. John’s passion for serving seniors and improving their quality of life has been a driving force behind his growth in the industry, moving beyond the salon into business development and marketing. These skills, along with his passion for the senior industry, provide a foundation for building strong relationships with clients and employees alike.
Ken Fury
Chief Operations Officer
A stylist since 1991, Ken is also a cosmetology instructor and former teacher in vocational and high school settings. In 1998, he began providing salon services in senior living communities to address the need for first class salon services. He earned a great deal of respect within the senior living industry for creating an enjoyable and successful salon service that helped grow the company to national status. With Muir Salon Group, Ken has expanded his passion, assuring his standards for quality care are still the highest priority.
Verna Chisman
Vice President, Client Engagement
Verna has extensive education and certifications relative to wellness and positive aging, including completion of the ICAA Leadership on Wellness Management program and serving as Co-Chair on ICAA’s Education Committee. She also maintains close connections and has collaborated with industry experts including National Wellness Institute, Dementia Care Education, LeadingAge, Mayo Clinic and Banner Sun Health Research Institute. Her personal mission is to share her experience and knowledge while enhancing the wellness culture in active adult communities through innovative application of integrated wellness plans, multi-generational programs, technology, virtual reality, neuroplasticity and more.
